Denmark – Construction-related services – Projektkonkurrence Danmark museum for havet
Description
The implementation of this project competition is a decisive step after many years of considerations about the expansion and transformation of the National Museum of Denmark. The project competition aims to identify the winning proposal – and thereby to find the total consultant, who will implement the project. The project thus includes the realisation of the winning competition proposal regarding the museum's transformation and functional processing – including creating the framework for the exhibitions. The content of the exhibitions is not part of the project. Furthermore, the project includes an energy optimisation, renovation and technical renewal of climate screens, surfaces, external facilities, electrical and lighting installations as well as ventilation in the existing buildings. These aspects should be solved as a single project and with a single prioritisation within the project's financial framework, as outlined later in this programme. The winning total consultant will therefore continue the project from the existing tender material and their own winning proposal through all project phases, including final programming in close collaboration with the client. Assessment criteria in the competition phase The competition proposals will be assessed based on the overall criterion that they must best solve the museum's needs, requirements and wishes in accordance with the building programme. The winning proposal must outline the optimal architectural framework for the museum's visions and form a solid basis for future collaboration with the client and the Museum to realise the proposal. In the assessment, particular value will be attached to the proposal: Architectural quality and vision: Create optimal frameworks for the museum's vision and future identity, with respect for the existing buildings' cultural-historical and architectural qualities. Functionality, coherence and flexibility: Ensure a well-functioning museum with good flow and accessibility conditions, coherence between exhibitions, public facilities and outdoor spaces, as well as flexible and operationally secure frameworks for changing exhibitions and activities that support the museum's daily operations. Sustainability and resource responsibility: Demonstrate responsibility in the choice of solutions, materials and energy consumption, with a focus on reuse and minimisation of environmental impact. Technical and economic feasibility: is buildable and can be realised within the set financial and time frame. CONTENT OF THE APPLICATION: Mandatory: 1. Completed ESPD (Pdf format) 2. Business attestation from the Danish Business Authority, which must not be more than 6 months old from the application deadline. 3. References (Pdf format) Max 5 references in total, 2 A4 pages per reference as an attachment to the ESPD 4. CVs (Pdf format) Max 2 A4 pages per CV If relevant: 5. Completed support and consortium declaration If the application does not contain the above information, the contractor is entitled to reject the application. The contractor reserves the right to obtain supplementary information regarding the application to the extent that it is in accordance with applicable legislation. The selection of pre-qualified participants for the project competition will take place through an overall assessment of the applicant's suitability for the task, including competencies in the organisation and experience from comparable projects. Four (4) applicants will be pre-qualified to participate in the project competition. Emphasis will be placed on: • The content of the submitted references, including which applicants have documented architecturally and professionally strong and relevant references in relation to the tendered task. • Experience with transformation, renovation and modernisation of buildings of high architectural value. • That references are completed projects. The further back in time a reference is, the more weight it is given. • Key persons with strong competencies for the management of similar roles and experience from projects of similar complexity and character. • Experience with renovations in buildings in operation. If more than four applicants have qualifications that are equivalent, the four applicants who are collectively assessed to provide a varied participant field and the best competition will be selected.
