The Issuer announces an open design competition for the preparation of a Master Plan (hereinafter: Master Plan) to underpin future investment(s) necessary for the development of the municipality in the area of approximately 88 ha located in the southern part of Debrecen city (hereinafter: Majorsági territory). The aim of the design competition is to develop a modern Southern City Centre from the former Majorsági territory. The Issuer, in this design competition announcement and design programme (hereinafter: Design Programme) seeks the most suitable designer or design group to prepare the Master Plan, based on the Concept (hereinafter: Concept) outlined in the summary Design Competition Documentation and its annexes (hereinafter: Documentation) to underpin the Master Plan. The aim of this Design Competition is to produce a Concept that is suitable for comprehensively underpinning the Master Plan, which records all functions and services specified in the Design Programme, and the Master Plan to be prepared as the subject of a separate design contract to be concluded with the winning designer selected as a result of the Design Competition, based on which a new southern city centre can be realised in the former Majorsági territory, capable of serving at least 8,500 inhabitants and creating at least 4,000 jobs. Furthermore, the aim of this Design Competition is to produce, with the Concept, sustainable development proposals that equally integrate with the surrounding urban fabric, its functions, infrastructure and natural environment.
