Germany – Construction work – DSP - Pumpenhaus Scharnhorststraße Dezentral

The project DSP – Dezentral Scharnhorststraße Pumpenhaus is an infrastructure measure for the expansion and modernisation of the Scharnhorststraße heating plant. At the Scharnhorststraße site, a new heat exchanger station with two pump groups, piping systems and the necessary electrical and control engineering facilities will be erected in a "Brownfield" environment. The implementation takes place within an existing heating plant site in a Brownfield environment. In addition to the erection of new plant components, numerous interfaces with existing plants, piping systems, electrical and control engineering facilities and operational processes must be taken into account. Particular attention is paid to maintaining supply security and the implementation of all relevant conversion work within a three (3) month shutdown window. For the implementation of the project, the necessary prerequisites for site clearance are already being created in a preceding project. Based on this, the project DSP includes the detailed design, procurement, erection, commissioning and handover of the new plant technology including all ancillary services required for this purpose.

Work to be carried out:

• Assembly and conversion of district heating plant components

• Installation and integration of pump systems with electrical drive technology

• Pipework for district heating applications including connection and integration of plant parts (nominal widths approx. DN 200 to DN 600)

• Connection of new pipelines and components to existing supply and pipeline systems

• Supply and installation of fittings, control and shut-off devices (nominal widths approx. DN 250 to DN 600)

• Planning and erection of pipeline supports and supporting steel structures

• Integration of existing plant components into newly erected systems

• Creation of foundations for plant and steel components

• Adaptation and expansion of low-voltage, power supply and drive systems

• Adaptation and expansion of measurement, control and automation systems

• Renewal of electrical power supply systems including cable laying

• Dismantling and demolition of existing plant and pipeline components (nominal widths up to approx. DN 500)

The connections to the network are made on the operational site. The above-ground supply of the two DN500 lines on the operational site on an existing steel structure is part of the project scope. The existing and to be expanded automation system is located in the operational building. The planning of the electrical and automation systems is part of the project scope. Interfaces to the existing electrical and automation systems are available and must be taken into account.
