Description

The aim of the measure is to enable the underserved participants located in the Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße to be connected via a Gigabit network, in accordance with No. 3.1 of the Directive "Promoting the support of the Gigabit expansion of telecommunications networks in the Federal Republic of Germany" (Gigabit Directive 2.0) of 30.04.2024, by granting investment grants. The Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße has received 5 grant notifications for this purpose. This tender comprises Lots 1 to 5. A total of approximately 7,013 (seventy-thousand-thirteen) address points (hereinafter "addresses") are to be connected, with 1,878 addresses in Lot 1, 622 addresses in Lot 2, 2,296 addresses in Lot 3, 455 addresses in Lot 4, and 1,762 addresses in Lot 5. The connection to the Gigabit network is to be available to all designated participants, i.e. 100% of the participant connections located in the expansion area, which are currently underserved in the sense of the Gigabit framework regulation. After the network expansion and commissioning, a transmission rate of at least 1 Gbit/s symmetric (downstream/upstream) is to be available to the participants in the expansion area.
