Section 130a Paragraph 8 and Section 130c Paragraph 8 of the German Social Code Book V (SGB V) allow health insurers (KK) and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework agreements on the prescription drugs to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurers. The GWQ acts as the Society for Economy and Quality with KK according to Section 130a Paragraph 8 Sentence 5 SGB V for its shareholder and customer insurers. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB is carried out by the GWQ ServicePlus AG. The contract start date is 01.10.2026.
