The subject of the competition is the concept planning for a combined pool complex consisting of a new indoor pool and the integration of the existing outdoor pool and its outdoor facilities. An ideas section should develop reuse concepts for the old pool building. The Mons-Tabor-Bad in Montabaur, built in the 1960s and later renovated several times, no longer meets current requirements in many respects. For this reason, a new family-oriented indoor pool is to be built at the same location, integrating the existing outdoor pool. The existing indoor pool should remain in operation until the new one is completed. A suitable and viable reuse concept for the old pool must also be developed. To find the best design based on a space and functional program for the new pool, the site, and the old pool, this realization competition with an ideas section should be conducted. The competition area has a total size of approximately 15,800 m². The costs for the new construction, roughly estimated as part of the cost-effectiveness calculation, amount to approximately 30 million €. The competition will be conducted as a non-open realization competition with an ideas section according to RPW 2013. A selection procedure will precede the competition. 20 participants will be admitted to the competition. 5 participants have been pre-nominated by the contracting authority. The authors will remain anonymous until the conclusion of the jury session. After the conclusion of the RPW planning competition, a VgV negotiation procedure without a competition will be conducted to award a general planning contract (GP award). The award will include: 1.
