ÖBB-Technische Services-GmbH operates 18 blasting facilities at five different locations for the maintenance of rail vehicles and their components. To ensure high availability and reliability of these blasting facilities, regular inspection and maintenance as well as the supply of spare parts are necessary. To be able to easily access these services, a nationwide framework contract for the facilities at the locations Vienna Simmering, Vienna Jedlersdorf, St. Pölten, Linz and Knittelfeld is being tendered. An optional extension of 2 years after the expiry of the 3-year fixed term is to be offered. • Maintenance of blasting facilities. Maintenance includes in particular inspection and maintenance activities. Inspection is to be understood as the systematic recording and assessment of the actual condition of the system. On the basis of the results determined in this process, necessary maintenance measures are to be planned, determined and carried out. Maintenance is to be understood as those measures that are necessary to maintain the target condition of the system in accordance with § 16 AM-VO. Maintenance serves to maintain functionality, operational safety, increase reliability and to maintain the value of the system. • Fault rectification on blasting facilities. Fault rectification is to be understood as measures to eliminate fault causes that have led to an impairment or failure of a system. Fault rectification includes in particular fault detection, localisation of the cause and the implementation of necessary immediate measures to restore a safe system state. • Repair of blasting facilities. After fault rectification, the system is returned to its original state by repairing the system.
