Due to the political mandate, the district of Euskirchen intends to build a biological treatment plant at the site. The conversion of the composting plant will result in the need to expand and redesign the external areas of the plant. Therefore, a reorganisation of the surface water drainage, including retention and treatment of surface water, will take place. As part of the "Advanced Works", the district of Euskirchen intends to construct in advance parts of the necessary infrastructure measures and storage areas, as well as the partially covered storage facility.
