France – Demolition work – Accord-cadre de travaux de démantèlement de l'îlot Milan (Désamiantage, Déconstruction, Réemploi)

This contract is a framework agreement for works whose objective is to carry out all the necessary works to allow the dismantling operations of the structures constituting the Milan island as well as the B4 located in the immediate vicinity. All the buildings were constructed over a short period (1981-1984), in a logic of a global project and present a very strong constructive and programmatic homogeneity. The presence of asbestos is confirmed and a decontamination will be carried out, prior to the dismantling of materials for reuse, then the deconstruction operations. The presence of lead has not been detected, except sporadically. The technical documents identify these elements in more detail. A strategy for the reuse of materials (Products, Equipment, Materials and Waste) will be implemented, with the objective of "zero waste". The presence of the buildings to be dismantled, in the hypercentre and at the heart of the multimodal exchange hub, leads to the mode of deconstruction by topping for the superstructure and mechanical demolition for the infrastructures. Several real estate complexes can be under construction simultaneously. A Temporary Interruption of Railway Traffic (ITC) from May to July 2027 will allow the dismantling of the volumes adjoining the railway domain to allow the installation of a protective screen on the East façade of the B4.
