Germany – Vehicle-counting machines – Vergabe von Liefer- und Werkleistungen zur Bereitstellung automatischer Fahrgastzählsysteme (AFZS) für den MVV-Regionalbusverkehr

The MVV GmbH intends to equip 310 buses from current and future transport companies in the MVV regional bus transport with passenger counting systems, plus options for a further 152 systems over a period of 4 years. The subject of the procurement is the supply and implementation of components for an autonomous automatic passenger counting system (APCS) that measures the number of passengers boarding and alighting in the door area of the vehicles and transmits this, together with additional information, via mobile phone to the land side. Specifically, these are the vehicle-side systems including installation, commissioning, the land-side technical background system and maintenance services. A particular challenge is the fact that the passenger counting systems have to be retrofitted in existing and new vehicles of different bus types and years of construction at different locations within the MVV transport association area, including future extensions. The tender aims to find a company that has sufficient experience and capacity and supplies the corresponding systems and installs them in the vehicles, commissions them quickly and then carries out the maintenance and servicing with the support of the transport companies and the contracting authority.
