Toerisme Vlaanderen and the Province of West-Vlaanderen wish to select, through a concession, a partner responsible for the realisation and operation of an Experience Centre for the Blue Economy. This centre will be an all-weather attraction offering visitors an inspiring, interactive, and educational experience about the Blue Economy throughout the year. The project must contribute to the strategic objective of developing the Coast as a dynamic, sustainable destination and strengthening the image of Flanders as a leader in the blue economy. The concessionaire will be responsible for:

• Finding a suitable location and making this location available for a minimum of 10 years

• Design and layout of the experience centre

• Realisation of the experience with physical and digital elements

• Inclusive and accessible infrastructure for diverse target groups

• Year-round operation and dynamic management for at least 10 years, including renewal of the offer and temporary exhibitions to stimulate repeat visits. For this, guarantees from public and private partners are crucial.
