The subject of the procurement is colon cancer screening services, including screening care and colonoscopy services. The organisation of colon cancer screenings is based on the Health Care Act (1326/2010) and the Screening Decree (752/2021 and 1243/2022). The service to be procured includes:

• Screening care services

• Follow-up examinations:

• colonoscopy

• sample collection and pathological examination

• polyp removal (under 10 mm, 10 mm or over)

• referral for treatment if necessary

• data submission to the Purchaser and via the SeulaPro programme to the cancer registry

Screening examinations must be carried out throughout the contract period and any optional period in accordance with the legislation and regulatory requirements in force at the time, as well as national guidelines current during the contract period, such as the "Colon Cancer Screening Quality Handbook" and standardised screening practices and quality requirements. The activities will be organised in cooperation with the Purchaser and the Purchaser's partner, HUS Diagnostic Centre, which will arrange the invitation to screening for the Purchaser, sample collection for screening and the provision of screening results. The service purchaser is Central Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County (Keusote), which is responsible for the social and health services, rescue services and specialised healthcare in the area. Central Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County includes Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen and Tuusula. The contract is intended to come into force on 15.8.2026.
