Germany – Fire-alarm system installation work – Erneuerung der Brandmeldeanlage am Mülheim Hauptbahnhof

Ruhrbahn GmbH (hereinafter Ruhrbahn, or the contracting authority) is a transport company in the Ruhr region, which ensures mobility in the cities of Essen and Mülheim by providing a public service contract. The subject of the procurement includes, in particular, the renewal of the fire alarm system as part of the renovation work at Mülheim Hauptbahnhof. As part of the fire protection upgrade of the main station in Mülheim an der Ruhr, a new, comprehensive fire alarm system (in Category 1/Full Protection) is to be supplied, installed, connected, commissioned and handed over ready for operation. The service initially includes the dismantling of the existing fire alarm control panel, including the proper disconnection of all cables and the 230-V connection. The dismantled fire alarm control panel is to be handed over to the contracting authority. In addition, the existing fire alarm system in the customer center, including all lines, is to be dismantled professionally. In the further course of the project, the new fire alarm system, including all necessary components, fire detectors, smoke extraction systems, lines, alarm and transmission devices, as well as the necessary interfaces and controls for other safety-relevant systems, is to be supplied and fully installed. Furthermore, comprehensive acoustic and electro-acoustic alarming, including voice alarming, is to be provided. The fire alarm system is to be connected to the control center. The services also include, among other things, the creation of the necessary workshop and assembly planning, programming and testing of the systems, as well as the creation of all documentation. The dismantling of the existing fire alarm system is to begin in October 2026 - immediately after the award of the contract - according to the contracting authority's planning.
