Netherlands – Building construction work – Vernieuwbouw Liduina School te Den Haag

The current school building of the Liduina School at Amalia van Solmsstraat 155, 155k and 157 in Den Haag is technically and functionally outdated. Therefore, Stichting Lucas Onderwijs intends to 'renovate' the existing accommodation for the primary school. It is intended to house the Liduina and kindergarten 2Samen and have them work together in one building. The oldest part of the main building at no. 157 dates from 1920. Since then, much has been added. The 2 most recent additions (no. 155: a gymnasium and no. 155k: an addition of 2Samen) will be demolished and a 4-storey extension will be built that connects to the existing building. The building at no. 155, a former school building of HSV, will be demolished and a new gymnasium for the Liduina will be built. The main building will be made more sustainable. And because the wooden piles are rotten, the foundation will also be replaced and restored and a renovation floor will be applied on the ground floor. Batteries will also be installed. Approximately half of this area covers the renovation of the existing buildings and the other half concerns new construction of the extension and the gymnasium.
