Netherlands – Airport operation services – Concessie Twente Airport

The contracting authority is and remains the owner of the area, including Twente Airport, but intends to transfer the operation and management of Twente Airport to a market party. The Concessionaire acts independently and at its own expense and risk, within the framework of the concession agreement. The Concessionaire is responsible for the operational and commercial functioning of Twente Airport, including airport management, attracting users and customers, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the Airport Decree and obtaining and maintaining the necessary permits, exemptions and approvals. In the operation, the Concessionaire must take into account the applicable policy frameworks, environmental plan and other laws and regulations, including the Airport Decree and several umbrella permits. See the tender documents. The estimate of the order is based on 50 years (initial term and possible extension options) including a one-time contribution to major runway maintenance at the start.
