The city of Neuburg an der Donau intends to continue its existing studies and to have them newly established as an Integrated Digital Urban Development Concept (IDEK). For this purpose, changes that have occurred in the meantime in population structure, mobility, leisure behaviour, as well as in the areas of trade and purchasing behaviour, are to be examined in order to be able to take corresponding measures if necessary. In addition, a climate adaptation concept is to be created for the first time. Furthermore, the potentials of digitalisation are to be identified in order to shape communal development in a more digital, intelligent and sustainable manner. The aim of the continuation is to work out and summarise perspectives and potentials for the development of the city of Neuburg between the overarching, city-wide and inter-municipal level with its formal and informal planning instruments and the concrete project and project level. A future-oriented action concept is to be developed that strengthens the location in the medium and long term and develops traditional mixed uses in a meaningful and sustainable manner. The IDEK is to be accompanied by an inspiring and multi-layered participation and coordination process involving the existing structures and networks. In the course of the continuation, it is also necessary to check or newly coordinate existing objectives and areas of responsibility. The approaches to action are to be divided into short-term, medium-term and long-term measures in order to initiate, continue and monitor a continuous improvement in the situation in a sustainable manner. From the results of the inventory assessment, a demarcation is to be made as to where adjustments are to be made according to the criteria of urban development funding law, which redevelopment areas are to be completed and which are possibly to be newly included. Therefore, among other things, the derivation of needs for action, or the formulation of corresponding measures, as well as a definition of the fields of action for key topics, is to be summarised. Finally, a digital potential analysis is to assess the feasibility and financing of the measures planned in the concept.
