Ireland – Social research services – Request for Tenders for the provision of Research on International Approaches to School Workforce Planning
Description
The Department of Education and Youth (DEY) is seeking research services from a suitably qualified contractor/s to support its work in policy planning in the area of School Workforce. The core research services required are secondary research in the form of a rapid literature review on international approaches to school workforce development and planning. The research will focus primarily on analysing international trends in school’s workforce policy planning and practice. It is anticipated that a review of not less than 6 international jurisdictions will be included in the successful tender, with a particular focus on education systems that are high-performing and that articulate holistic and inclusive visions for education. The research will identify learning relevant to the development of the school’s workforce in Ireland including workforce composition, recruitment and retention, deployment, regulation, initial and continuing professional education and collaborative cross-professional practice.
