Description

Solideo Alpes 2030 is the contracting authority for the renovation of the Courchevel ski jump site, which is set to host the events of the 2030 Winter Olympics. The project aims to upgrade the site technically, functionally, and sportingly for the needs of the Games, while ensuring the longevity and operability of the equipment in the legacy phase. The present global design-and-build contract therefore covers the design and implementation of the renovation works of the existing site. The project is characterized by the technical complexity and the multiplicity of the works involved, in a mountainous environment with strong geotechnical, access, and seasonality constraints, as well as the integration of sports equipment subject to international homologation requirements and a vertical transport facility. The contractor will provide all the design and implementation services necessary for the project. The design includes, in particular, the consolidation of preliminary design studies, project studies, execution studies, administrative and environmental procedures and authorizations, procedures related to safety, ERP and sporting homologation, as well as the monitoring of execution, reception, commissioning operations, and support in the perfect completion guarantee phase. The works mainly concern the geotechnical strengthening and stabilization of the site, the overhaul of drainage systems and some low slabs, the rehabilitation of the K90 and K120 jumps and their sports equipment, as well as the replacement of the existing funicular with an inclined lift installed on its route, with the creation of an intermediate stop serving the training platforms. The project also includes the renovation or bringing up to standard of the access towers and the judges' tower, the training platforms, the landing racks and sliding complexes, the stands, buildings and technical rooms, pathways and access, as well as the modernization of the lighting, networks and distribution systems, watering systems, sliding complexes, snow retention systems, operating, maintenance, supervision and control equipment. The contract includes a firm section and optional sections, each including the corresponding design and implementation services. These optional sections relate in particular to the complete renovation of certain buildings and structures of the site, the overhaul of the concretes and waterproofing of the K90 and K120 jumps, the covering of the take-off zones, the reconstruction or adaptation of the training platforms, the renovation of the car-accessible track to the judges' tower, the construction of a waiting room for the K90 jumpers, the renovation of the electricity production and the construction of a tunnel under the stands for the athletes. The optional sections are described in the tender documents. The estimated value of the design-and-build contract, including all sections, is set at 29 015 820 euro(s) HT (April 2026 value). As an indication, the contract notification is scheduled for June 2027. The studies and authorization procedures will be initiated as soon as the contract is notified. The works are mainly scheduled from January 2028 to August 2029, for a reception in September 2029 and a commissioning in October 2029, in preparation for the 2030 Winter Olympics. The execution must in particular take into account the winter constraints, the operation of the site and the constraints specific to a mountain-site project.
