The site of the General-Oberst-Beck Barracks covers approximately 31 hectares and is located on a hill in the south of Sonthofen. The barracks themselves are currently being refurbished and consist of both historical buildings and new constructions, which are used for military purposes. Part of the buildings is still under renovation, while the other part is already in use, which is why access to the site is monitored for security reasons. In the historical existing buildings 5+8 of the property, renovation work is required on the roof structure due to roof leaks. The pitched roofs are covered with plain tiles and have a wooden structure. Due to the planned use of roof areas as part of the renovation, building physics, fire protection and static requirements will have to be taken into account in the planning. The existing lining will be retained. The planning of the further roof structure, taking into account the requirements, is the core of the task.
