The now dilapidated structure, old pedestrian tunnel, Rostock Hauptbahnhof, has been assessed as still statically load-bearing according to a recalculation in accordance with RIL 805-2009; however, on the condition that individual structural damages are eliminated within the year. This has not yet been done. Therefore, the structural condition of the old pedestrian tunnel, Rostock Hauptbahnhof, has significantly deteriorated over the past 10 years due to the massive defect situation and extreme leaks. Among other things, there are corrosions of the bottom flanges of the rolled beams and the domes. A new construction is required by 2030 at the latest, as without fundamental renovation measures, the probability of operational restrictions up to the closure of the tracks exists. These can also occur well before 2030, depending on how the damage to the structure develops. The following should be implemented in the project: Filling of no longer used staircase exits in the PU as a renovation of the road slab Renovation of moisture damage Restoration Sealing Restoration Drainage Securing the stability Renewal of the lighting of the PU Possibly ventilation of the old PU
