The SBB Personenverkehr is planning a new service facility for Regional vehicles of the Thurbo (Project RONS) in Rorschach. The rail connection for the first phase was defined in a preliminary study in coordination with the AS35 projects. The preliminary project RONS 1st phase was completed in June 2026. As part of the STEP expansion step 2035 (AS35), the closure of the last double-track gap between Rorschach and Rorschach Stadt, the construction of a 6th platform edge with passing track, and the implementation of the BehiG compliance of the station Rorschach are planned. In parallel, the city of Rorschach is implementing a new pedestrian and cycle traffic underpass. In addition, a new interlocking is being established in two phases (RONS and AS35) as a basis for the future interlocking replacement. A specialist planner for cables is sought, who will work closely with the general planner and the other specialist disciplines within the existing project organisations. He is responsible for the technical planning, coordination and integration of all cable-specific services.
