The municipality of Langenlonsheim-Stromberg was established on 01.01.2020 from the merger of the municipality of Langenlonsheim and the municipality of Stromberg. The municipality has approximately 24,000 inhabitants in 17 member municipalities. The total planning area has a size of 129 km². For the formerly independent municipalities, there are respective legally binding land-use and landscape plans, which have been supplemented over the years by partial updates and individual amendments. The merger gives rise to the need to combine the urban development of the new municipality in a uniform, overarching planning framework. Until the new planning framework comes into effect, the existing land-use plans of the two former municipalities remain in force. The land-use plans for the two former municipalities are digitised. The landscape plans, however, are not. There is an editorial update of the land-use plan, which will be provided in the second stage of the procedure. The contracting authority intends to draw up a new land-use plan for the area of the municipality, taking into account the existing land-use plans. A new landscape plan, which is also to be created, is to be incorporated.
