The building with a courtyard was originally planned and constructed as a workshop in the 1960s. In the mid-1970s, an extension was added, making the structure consist of 4 storeys. After a change of use in 2012, it is now an administrative building. The building will remain partially operational during the construction work. The basement mostly contains workshops and storage areas. The remaining floors are predominantly office spaces and a canteen. The construction work will be divided into 4 construction phases from the basement to the 2nd floor. This will ensure parallel operation with the existing structure with as few disruptions as possible. The construction site facilities will be located outside the building. Material and waste containers will be positioned directly at the building, while the personnel containers will be set up in close proximity. Sanitary facilities will be provided by the contractor. The electrical contractor is responsible for the setup and maintenance of the construction site power supply and lighting. The entire 230V installation, including distributions and skirtings, will be dismantled and renewed. The cabling and control of the blinds and ventilation units based on KNX will be retained. The already replaced LED luminaires will be reused. The low-voltage main distribution will be replaced during ongoing operations. The existing telephone, fibre optic, and data cabling will be dismantled and restructured. It is intended to remove all decommissioned lines.
