The existing fire protection in the building, which was completed in 1976 (1st phase) and 1986 (2nd phase), does not meet current requirements despite the structural fire protection measures already implemented in recent years (three major measures by 2008 and ongoing in connection with renovations and refurbishments). This is due to the high level of retrofitted technical equipment (particularly in the electrical and data areas) and the new assessment of the installed element wall constructions with fire protection requirements.
