Germany – Landscape architectural services – Fortschreibung der Pflege- und Entwicklungspläne im Biosphärenreservat Drömling Sachsen-Anhalt

The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Drömling brings together contiguous Natura 2000 areas, nature reserves, and a landscape conservation area under the objectives of protection and exemplary, sustainable use according to the UNESCO "Man and Biosphere" programme. The existing PEP "Nature Park Drömling" with NSG and LSG from 1996, "NSG Ohre-Drömling" from 2007 and NSG "Klüdener Pax - Wanneweh" from 1996 are to be updated and harmonised. In particular, the following priorities, which have proven to be particularly urgent from the practical work of the administration of the Biosphere Reserve Drömling, are to be addressed: a) development concept for open cultural landscape with grassland b) assessment of measures to preserve and develop habitats and species, particularly for wet and moist grassland c) updating the monitoring concept for the ongoing and periodic examination and evaluation of the measures of the large-scale nature conservation project d) environmental education and public relations. The project is to be completed within the funding period by 31.03.2029.
