Description

The Hanseatic City of Demmin plans to renovate the listed building complex at Adolf-Pompe-Straße 12-15. The administrative building was constructed in 1910/11 as the Demmin County Hall with the units of use: County Administrator's residence, County Council meeting hall, and County Administration in the Neo-Baroque style. A simple garage building with three bays was subsequently added. A former carriage house is also located on the property. The building complex was used as the site of the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district until 2023. After that, the building was largely empty. In 2025, the City Administration Building II of the Hanseatic City of Demmin and the Demmin Museum Collection moved in. The planning of the construction measure should be carried out in such a way that parts of the building complex remain in operation and can continue to be used. Construction phases and interim solutions with necessary relocations are to be planned.
