The Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V. (MPG) is a non-profit research organisation funded predominantly by public funds. It maintains and operates 84 institutes and other research facilities of varying size, structure, and remit across Germany, primarily dedicated to fundamental research in the natural and humanities sciences. The subject of the contract to be awarded is engineering services in the field of ELT technology for technical external offices of the General Administration of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. The contract will be concluded as a framework agreement in accordance with § 21 VgV. The subject of the procurement procedure includes the engineering services in the field of ELT technology to be provided as a so-called "Technical External Office" within the scope of ongoing building maintenance, maintenance, and repair of technical building equipment and systems in accordance with the draft contract provided. The contractual services are based on §§ 53 – 56 HOAI. The Technical External Office supports the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft in the maintenance of its buildings. Building maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft's guidelines for building maintenance. In addition, the contracting authority intends to award planning services for construction measures to the contractor during the term of the framework agreement. The services are usually carried out during ongoing operations. In providing the services, not only the specific requirements of the highly equipped buildings and the corresponding technical systems, but also the usual work processes in research and science must be taken into account. In this respect, the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft attaches importance to the fact that, in this procurement procedure, bidders can demonstrate profound knowledge in the field of science and research, as well as experience in carrying out maintenance and repair measures during ongoing operations. The services to be provided must at least comply with the generally recognised rules of the art and meet all the necessary requirements of economy, energy efficiency, and sustainability. By submitting a participation application, bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the specified period and, in particular, that they have the necessary specialist, personnel, material, and time resources for this purpose. The special requirements for the provision of services may make it necessary to be available for coordination meetings on site or in Munich at short notice and frequently upon request by the contracting authority. This lot includes the following MPI: INFE (Max-Planck-Institut für Infektionsbiologie) By submitting a participation application, bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the period mentioned below and that they have the necessary specialist, personnel, and material resources for this purpose.
