Parcel 1 “Mooring and unmooring of seagoing vessels 'Antwerp'”: Explanation: The subject of this concession is the assistance in mooring and unmooring seagoing vessels in the port area (excluding in the locks). Seagoing vessels either voluntarily request this or are obliged to do so by law or regulation. In addition to the existing legislation, tasks and activities carried out under this concession must, from 01 January 2027, be carried out under the general conditions as laid down in the mooring and unmooring regulation, which is an integral part of the Port Police Ordinance. Approximately 15,000 seagoing vessels call at the port of Antwerp each year, both before and after the locks.

Parcel 2 “Piloting of seagoing vessels 'Antwerp'”: Explanation: The subject of this concession is the piloting of seagoing vessels, with or without rudder, in and behind the locks and between two berths, both of which are located in the port area, on the same bank. Seagoing vessels either voluntarily request this or are obliged to do so by law or regulation. In addition to the existing legislation, tasks and activities carried out under this concession must, from 01 January 2027, be carried out under the general conditions as laid down in the pilotage regulation, which is an integral part of the Port Police Ordinance. Approximately 15,000 seagoing vessels call at the port of Antwerp each year, both before and after the locks.
