Germany – Sea defences construction work – Siel und Klappbrücke Harlesiel

The subject of the contract is the adaptation of the sluice in Harlesiel to the increased design water levels and the replacement new construction of a single-lane rolling bascule bridge. The existing roof of the sluice building is to be demolished and disposed of. The structure is to be extended by a third floor and a control cabin. The existing lift gate and the pair of mitre gates of the sluice are to be dismantled and disposed of. A new lift gate made of steel incl. drive and counterweight is to be manufactured and installed. A new pair of mitre gates is to be manufactured and installed. The sluice structure, including all demolition or dismantling, mass concrete, masonry and steel water engineering works (including drives) for the entire equipment and other works, is to be completed as a complete plant ready for operation.
