Germany – Construction work for buildings relating to railway transport – Investorenauswahlverfahren Güterverkehrszentrum / KV-Terminal InterFranken

The Zweckverband Industrie-/Gewerbepark InterFranken intends to establish a company in the form of a GmbH (hereinafter: "Development Company") and to conclude with it a long-term (leasehold) agreement with a minimum duration of 50 years, through which the Development Company will obtain the right and obligation to construct and operate a terminal for combined transport and intermodal transshipment of containers (hereinafter "KV-Terminal") on predominantly already owned, partially still to be acquired, land in the Industrie-/Gewerbepark InterFranken. This procurement procedure serves to select a private partner who will become a co-shareholder of the Development Company and who is expected to contribute significantly to the planning and realization of the KV-Terminal through his know-how and financial contributions. The private partner is to acquire business shares of 49.9% in the Development Company. After the KV-Terminal has been fully commissioned, the Zweckverband plans to further reduce its stake (successively) - possibly down to zero. The Zweckverband intends to apply for funding for the project; the later operation of the KV-Terminal may therefore have to be publicly tendered due to funding regulations.
