The Brandenburg IT Service Provider (ZIT-BB) is the central IT service provider for the Brandenburg state administration. Its extensive portfolio of tasks includes, among others, the planning, control, and operation of the technical infrastructure of the highest state authorities and their subordinate authorities and institutions, as well as the coordination and support of IT procedures and cross-departmental cross-sectional procedures. Currently, the ZIT-BB supports approximately 18,000 users of the Brandenburg state administration from its central location in Potsdam. In the coming years, further IT technology and applications from the individual state authorities will be transferred to the ZIT-BB. With the transfer of the technology to the responsibility of the ZIT-BB, various services will be supported by the ZIT-BB and thus migrated into the central structure. It operates, among other things, procedures of the state administration, which are available to the citizens of the state of Brandenburg and third parties involved in the process. The focus is on the following areas in addition to ongoing operations: - Information security and CERT - Integration and consolidation of IT procedures - Planning, introduction and operation of new IT procedures - Planning, expansion and consolidation of procedure-independent IT infrastructure - Migration of authority IT (basic services) to the ZIT-BB data center - Consultancy services for ZIT-BB customers. Projects on the topics of the above-mentioned focus areas can be carried out in the ZIT-BB. Consultancy services for projects in these focus areas may also be required.
