Germany – Construction work for buildings relating to health – Umbau und Erweiterung des Westpfalz-Klinikums am Standort Kirchheimbolanden - Los 46 - Metallbauarbeiten (Glastüren)

Refurbishment and extension of the Westpfalz-Klinikum at the Kirchheimbolanden site. The Westpfalz-Klinikum is located on the western outskirts of Kirchheimbolanden and consists of several building sections of different ages. The oldest part of the facility is the Bed Tower 5 and the attached treatment building (outpatient clinics + operating theatre) from the mid-50s. In the 90s, extensions were added to the operating theatre department, the entrance area with cafeteria/staff dining, and the intensive care unit. From 2000 onwards, extensions were added to the delivery room, followed by the outpatient operating theatre centre and the new chief physician's area in 2011. The most recent addition was the 4-storey Medical Care Centre (MVZ) directly connected to the emergency department. To the south, east, and north, there are residential areas, while to the west, there is no immediate development, but rather green meadows and fields that lead uphill to forested areas. As part of the planned measure, the hospital will receive a new building on the eastern side of the clinic, as well as an extension in a north-eastern building section.
