Description

50Hertz Transmission GmbH operates the extra-high-voltage grid in northern and eastern Germany and is responsible for its demand-driven expansion to implement the energy transition. As part of this task, overhead line, cable, offshore connection and substation projects are planned, approved and implemented. The approval and realisation of these projects regularly require nature conservation measures. These include in particular avoidance, mitigation, protection and advanced compensatory measures (CEF measures). The measures serve to avoid offences under species protection law, to secure the ecological function of affected habitats and to ensure the legal implementation of the projects. The measures result in particular from landscape management plans, specialist reports on species protection, approval documents, official ancillary provisions and determinations in planning approval and planning permission procedures. They are sometimes required even before the start of construction and can accompany the construction and operation phase. The aim of this tender is to conclude framework agreements with various contractors per lot for the provision of landscape management and species protection services in connection with nature conservation-related CEF, mitigation, avoidance and protection measures. In addition to 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, all companies associated with the Elia Group (in particular 50Hertz Offshore GmbH, 50Hertz Connectors GmbH, Elia Grid International GmbH, Elia Transmission Belgium S.A., Elia Asset S.A. and Elia Engineering S.A.) are entitled to use this contract. Furthermore, the contracting authority reserves the right to transfer this contract to current or future affiliated companies or companies in which the contracting authority is involved. Similarly, the contracting authority reserves the right, in the event of a corporate restructuring of the contractor or the loss of individual members of a consortium (ARGE as AN), to transfer the contract to the new corporate entity or remaining members of a corporate consortium.
