Description

The AG intends to construct a residential building as part of a GU procurement procedure, as the third of three planned construction phases on the currently vacant plot between Ostrower Straße, Briesmannstraße and Franz-Mehring-Straße in Cottbus. This construction phase has been planned with various features different from the two preceding phases: Unlike the first two construction phases already under construction, the 3rd construction phase described here will be built without a basement. Instead, a large "bicycle house" with a total of 150 bicycle parking spaces and approximately seven storage rooms will be constructed between the courtyard and the western property boundary. Additionally, a large technical room with a mobility room will be created on the ground floor. The apartments in the middle of Houses 1 and 2 will be accessed via a spacious gallery, which simultaneously forms an open connection between the stairwells of House 1 and House 2. This connection allows for the omission of an elevator in House 1. A portion of this area on the 4th floor can be privately used as an additional balcony. An important component of BA 3 is the creation of the so-called "Green Centre," the core of the open space planning used jointly by all construction phases. The architectural competition "Wohnquartier Briesmannstraße" aimed to create high-quality residential units for the urban, inner-city location of significant urban planning importance. In addition, the residential quarter is to be characterised by an attractive living environment with the integration of the existing tree stock and an innovative energy concept.
