The combined facility "Bunte Wache," which opened in 2020 at Inhauser Landstraße 20 in Wilhelmshaven, houses central services such as the fire department, the civil protection staff, the fire department's rescue service, an external rescue service, and the police under one roof. Today, the fire and rescue station is reaching its limits: central functional units such as a breathing apparatus training system, modern training rooms, or expanded training areas are missing. Necessary training and administrative areas are currently distributed across several locations in the city. The Wilhelmshavener Academy for Security in Energy Transition and Civil Protection (WASEB) project aims to fundamentally improve this situation. The goal is to functionally expand the fire and rescue station, to future-proof it, and to further develop it as a high-performance centre for training, mission preparation, and crisis management. The following buildings are planned to be constructed in a first construction phase for the implementation of these measures:

· A multi-purpose building with training, office and meeting rooms, breathing apparatus training system, sanitary facilities

· A technical building for equipment and standby power plant to ensure operational readiness.
