Section 130a Paragraph 8 SGB V enables health insurers and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurers. In view of the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, the DAK-Gesundheit conducts a regular process of substance-specific, formal tendering procedures in accordance with the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB. For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract, with the aforementioned active substance Propranolol (exclusively in the LSE dosage form), ATC C07AA05, the DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude discount contracts for medicines with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until the entry into force of new drug discount contracts. A discount contract under the licensing model for the aforementioned active substance will come into force for the first time on 01.07.2026 and will end on 30.06.2028. It will end automatically with the entry into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
