France – Bridge renewal construction work – Réhabilitation du pont de Vaucresson

The Vaucresson Bridge, constructed from 1937, enables the restoration of the RD182 above the A13 motorway (interchange No. 5). The deck has a specific design (cantilever supports in particular) and significant deterioration (concrete degradation, advanced corrosion of metal reinforcement, etc.) that it is now impossible to treat effectively. Therefore, it is necessary to plan its rehabilitation as soon as possible to avoid any accidents and an emergency closure for a prolonged period. The chosen operation involves carrying out the design studies and works through a design and build contract with prior competitive dialogue, given the complexity of the works to be carried out and the remaining uncertainties (technical choices, cost, time, optimisation of the period without traffic, motorway closures, etc.).
