The contract concerns the implementation of the permanent exhibition project „The Prince's Court in Oświęcim”, the aim of which is to bring closer the history of Oświęcim from the period of the independent duchy and to show the significance of the Oświęcim Castle as a place that for centuries was the centre of political, economic and cultural life of the region. The exhibition project was prepared by dr hab. Anna Skołożyńska-Cieciera, ASC Studio. Based on the prepared documentation, the contract envisages the comprehensive implementation of elements necessary to launch the new permanent exhibition, including in particular the purchase of equipment, the execution and installation of a multimedia system, the execution of a lighting system and the arrangement of the exhibition space. The aim of the task is to develop and make the cultural and educational offer of the Museum Castle in Oświęcim more attractive, as well as to create a modern, engaging form of presenting the historical heritage of the city and the former Duchy of Oświęcim. The new exhibition will consist of several thematic rooms and exhibition spaces, referring to the functioning of the medieval prince's court. The individual parts of the exhibition will allow visitors to learn about different aspects of life at the prince's court and the roles of the people who created it. The exhibition will include, among others: 1) the court hall – showing the life and customs of the prince's court; 2) the knight's hall – devoted to knighthood, armament and knightly culture of court officials; 3) the scribe's hall – presenting the significance of writing, documents and chancellery work; 4) the mint hall – approaching issues related to money, mint and the duchy's economy; 5) the salt hall – presenting the significance of salt trade and the role of this raw material in the region's economic life; 6) the educational hall – intended for conducting classes and workshops for children and youth.
