Belgium – Radiation protection services – Raamovereenkomst diensten medische stralingsfysica, fysische controle, persoonsdosimetrie

The contract involves the provision of services related to medical radiation physics, physical control and personal dosimetry. The tasks to be performed are as determined by the applicable legislation, in particular: • the Royal Decree of 20 July 2001 concerning the general regulation on the protection of the population, of the workers and the environment against the danger of ionising radiations (ARBIS), in particular the provisions on physical control (art. 23 et seq.) and dosimetric monitoring of workers; • the Royal Decree of 13 February 2020 relating to medical exposures and exposures in non-medical imaging with medical-radiological equipment, in particular the provisions on the tasks and responsibilities of the recognised expert in medical radiation physics; • the decisions and technical regulations adopted for the implementation thereof by the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (FANC), including those relating to the quality control of medical-radiological equipment and the recognition criteria for experts and institutions. The tenderer is expected to be familiar with this legislation and the tasks arising therefrom. A detailed description of the services, including the distinction between the legally mandatory and the additional (optional) services, will be included in the tender documents provided to the selected candidates.
