Germany – Environmental services – Arten-Monitoring nach Artikel 11 und 17 der FFH-Richtlinie in Sachsen-Anhalt: Schmetterlinge (Lepidoptera), Monitoring-Durchgang 2028 (3 Lose)

The objective of the service is to implement the survey work described in the monitoring concept for the species listed in the annexes of the Habitats Directive and subsequently to assess the conservation status of the populations of these species, in this case for the Marsh Fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia), the Dark Green Fritillary (Phengaris nausithous; = Maculinea nausithous, syn.) and the Scarce Large Blue (Euplagia quadripunctaria) on selected monitoring sites of the state and federal monitoring in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. This will provide the nature conservation basis for the preparation of the national report of the state of Saxony-Anhalt to the Federal Republic of Germany and subsequently this in fulfilment of the reporting obligations of the Habitats Directive to the European Union. As part of the Habitats Directive monitoring, a total of 6 monitoring sites (hereinafter also STPE = sample units) are to be processed, which are distributed among 3 butterfly species as follows. The total service therefore consists of three lots.

• Survey and assessment of the Marsh Fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia) on 2 STPE (see 2.1.1)

• Survey and assessment of the Dark Green Fritillary (Phengaris nausithous) on 2 STPE (see 2.1.2)

• Survey and assessment of the Scarce Large Blue (Euplagia quadripunctaria) on 2 STPE (see 2.1.3)

The survey and assessment will be carried out in accordance with the assessment schemes of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN & BLAK 2017).
