The contract involves the supply of reagents for point-of-care glucose determinations. As part of this contract, the contractor, for the entire duration of the contract, provides a point-of-care test (POCT) system for glucose determinations, including the required middleware. The contract also includes: • The commissioning and configuration of the POCT system. • The training of the designated staff of the contracting authority. • A full-service maintenance contract for the provided equipment. The provision of the equipment is without a separate purchase price. The costs associated with this are included in the unit prices of the reagents. The equipment remains the property of the contractor for the entire duration of the contract and will be taken back by the contractor after the end of the contract. The solution will be used to perform glucose POCT on patients in the hospitals AZ Sint-Jan Brugge AV and campus SFX, AZ Sint-Lucas vzw and AZ Alma under the management of clinical chemistry. Performance obligation: this contract includes a performance obligation on the part of the contractor. This implies that the contractor commits to realising what is described, according to the specifications of this tender and in accordance with the rules of the art and within the deadlines provided for this purpose. Non-exclusivity: the contractor does not have exclusivity in the context of this public contract. The contracting authority may, provided it is in accordance with the applicable legislation on public contracts, during the duration of this contract, have services, identical or analogous to those described in the tender, carried out by third parties.
