Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – MARLIN - Maritime Advanced Resilient Link Integration Network

The thematic focus of the "MARLIN Challenge" competition is the development of innovative technological approaches for the creation of interference-free Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) communication. Solutions are sought that are capable of:

• establishing a stable communication link between a land-based Operations Centre (OPZ) and a Future Combat Surface System (FCSS) at sea,

• over a distance of at least 30NM,

• interference-free under the influence of hostile Electronic Warfare (EloKa),

• reliably under harsh environmental conditions (resistance to weather and sea state), and

• with high data transmission rates for time-critical and data-intensive applications.
