The medical concept titled "Lörracher Weg 2" envisages the construction of a new hospital with 677 beds in the somatic and psychosomatic areas, as well as eight day-clinic places in psychosomatics. The somatic services of the four clinics in Lörrach, Rheinfelden and Schopfheim will be brought together under the roof of the new hospital, and the existing sites will be closed. The joint health campus on the outskirts of Lörrach will also accommodate the Centre for Psychiatry (ZfP), the establishment of a medical centre, a health retail store, and a German Red Cross (DRK) rescue station. The campus bundles a broad, modern inpatient and outpatient supply for patients and offers attractive jobs for employees.
