Depending on the place of assignment, officials and/or their family members may be subject to different basic protection schemes, such as a Belgian legal scheme, including the ONSS or the ONSS d’Outre-mer, or a local social protection scheme. The insurance solution proposed must be designed flexibly to adapt to these different situations, ensuring effective, coherent, and easy-to-manage coverage, whether as primary or complementary cover. The proposed coverage therefore applies either:

• as a secondary measure, after and in addition to the primary insurance.

• as a primary measure when the basic insurance scheme does not provide flexible and optimal coverage (e.g. cover from the first euro).
