The Orléans Métropole, competent in the creation, development, maintenance and management of heat networks, has decided to entrust a third party, within the framework of a public service delegation for a period of 10 years, with the design, financing, implementation, operation, maintenance, renewal and modernisation of the public service for the production and distribution of urban heating over part of its territory: ORLEANS LA SOURCE, OLIVET and FLEURY LES AUBRAIS. In this context, DALKIA will act as the Delegated Project Owner, on behalf of ÉCOME, to carry out the installations for the production and distribution of heat. To this end, modernisation work on the DBO biomass power plant and the SOCOS gas-fired boiler, as well as work to replace the exchangers in the substations, is scheduled for 2026. DALKIA wishes to set up a full-time HSE prevention mission for a duration of 6 months to ensure compliance with safety standards and control of the environmental risks associated with the work.
