The foaming control chemicals required for wastewater treatment in the HSY water supply 1.8.2026–31.7.2028. The foaming control chemical is used in the digestion process during operational disturbances, such as foaming. The foaming control chemical is used to chemically reduce or prevent the formation of foam. Controlling the foam is important during the disturbance, as the overflowing foam can block the gas line. In the dewatering process, the foaming control chemical is used to prevent the reject water from foaming, as this can cause the reject water not to discharge normally through the reject water pipes. Additionally, foaming can cause the torque of the screw to fall below the allowed limits, at which point the automation shuts down the screw, thus preventing its use. The buyer is not obliged to purchase the foaming control chemical based on the framework agreement. The framework agreement does not constitute an exclusive right for suppliers, as the buyer can procure the chemicals in question through a separate procurement procedure. The contract period can be extended by two one-year option periods (1 y + 1 y). The buyer decides on the use of the option period at the latest four (4) months before the start of each contract period. The option period refers to the possibility of extending the agreement under the original terms.
