The district of Osterholz is undergoing a transformation of its IT infrastructure. For a long time, the basis was a classic office IT with stationary Windows PCs in the internal network. In parallel, a mobile device landscape has become established – especially since the requirements from Corona, mobile working / changing working environments and more flexible access scenarios – alongside the classic office IT. Mobile devices (mainly service mobile phones, laptops, convertibles, Surface devices) are now on an equal footing with the classic office IT, but are managed via separate, heterogeneous systems or manually. Therefore, the district of Osterholz intends to procure a modern Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution as part of a competitive dialogue to consolidate the management of all mobile devices – both smartphones and Windows-based devices – in a central system.
