Description

With the Bavarian Cycling Information System (BAYRIS), a new basis for the central storage of cycling-relevant data in Bavaria with decentralised maintenance is created. The focus is on cycling. The Bavarian Cycle Network (Bavarian Cycling Network and Bavarian Network for Cyclists) forms the data basis, which is available as a File Geodatabase. Further cycling data from state and municipal authorities are to supplement the system. The aim is to create an intuitive web application as an information and cooperation platform for the collection, aggregation, maintenance and exchange of cycling infrastructure data in Bavaria. This is to be done by providing basic editing tools, setting up efficient maintenance processes, as well as visualisation and evaluation possibilities of the entered data for state authorities and municipalities, independent of the authority network and without installation effort. The BAYRIS data model and the use of linear referencing are to be the basis. Access for authorised persons is to be via a secure user management system with different permissions. For the BAYRIS project, a contractor is sought who will develop the system, implement it and handle the data migration. Furthermore, services in later operation, maintenance and further development are to be provided. It is assumed that it is possible to build on an existing system and that no fundamental new development is required. In addition, the solution must be a Geographic Information System (GIS) due to the required functionality.
