Germany – Sports hall construction work – Stadt Neustadt am Rübenberge - Neubau Sporthalle Michael-Ende-Schule

The objective is the construction of a modern, sustainable and multifunctional dual-court sports hall to meet the high demand for sports and event spaces for: - A 6-stream primary school with 400 pupils in full-time operation - Four kindergartens - Three sports clubs and two company sports groups - Events with up to 400 people (e.g. school enrolments, school sports festivals, theatre performances)

The existing hall is not suitable for renovation. The new building should meet the requirements of a "sports-friendly school" and at the same time serve as a venue. The city has already commissioned a planning office with the approval planning. The planning documents reveal the following key points:

Building concept

- Two single-storey building sections: hall area in timber construction (clear height approx. 7 m) and ancillary wing with foyer, changing rooms, gym in timber-hybrid construction

- Assembly hall for up to 400 people, structurally prepared for up to 900 people

- Shallow-pitched roofs with photovoltaics (hall) and extensive greening (ancillary wing)

- Flexible use through hall partition, gym, and outdoor bouldering wall and graffiti area, mobile partition, bouldering wall, graffiti area

- Consideration and compliance with all normative and legal regulations such as the Assembly Hall Ordinance, School Construction Directive and DIN standards. See the procurement description for possible deviations from this method of construction.

- Green spaces with biodiversity zone, play equipment and grass grid pavers suitable for the infiltration of surface water

- Fire service access and forecourt with direct access to the hall

- Photovoltaic system for the self-supply of the hall and school building with electricity
