Germany – Facade work – Holzfassade - Dokumentationszentrum Tagebau Garzweiler

The Zweckverband LANDFOLGE Garzweiler intends to construct the "Dokumentationszentrum Tagebau Garzweiler". Located directly at the opencast mine, it is to be a lively place where the landscape and cultural changes caused by the opencast mining are documented and experienced in an exhibition area for residents and visitors. The building is part of the "Blau-Grünen Bands Garzweiler" growing around the opencast mine. In August, the demolition of the buildings and greenhouses of a former nursery took place on the site of the future Dokumentationszentrum Tagebau Garzweiler. Further earthworks will take place in November and December in preparation for the construction work. As a result, the Zweckverband LANDFOLGE Garzweiler intends to award a contract for the wooden facade for the realisation of the future Dokumentationszentrum Tagebau Garzweiler.
